Energy Of Nature
For your consideration…….
Every day on this blog we are asked to “get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths” and “drink lots of water”. Today we are reminded of that and given the reason for it. It is bigger than “because it is good for you” which, of course, it is.
The picture today was taken by my daughter on a hike in Washington. It is hard to think get past the absolute beauty. But that is what today’s message is about. It is easy to see the beauty in nature but we don’t always realize and acknowledge the gifts of energy it provides us.
Everything….absolutely everything……carries energy. We are exchanging energy all of the time. Often we have been reminded of this because we are like magnets attracting back to us the energy we are outputting. So we want to be conscious that what we put out is what we want to come back to us.
Energy in all living things is the spirit that never dies. It continues life times after life times. As it is in us, so it is in Mother Nature. Why do we refer to nature as Mother Nature? Because she is nurturing, every loving, always present and always giving.
We are reminded today that those deep breaths we are asked to take each day and the water we are asked to drink each day are, in fact, infusions of energy from Mother Nature.
Mother Nature needs to provide us with love and gifts just as she needs ours. We are asked to carry our loving energy to Mother Nature. And we are reminded of all of the energy she has for us. She is always giving it to us but we are not always fully receiving it. To do that we have to be fully conscious. When we are asked to pause and take in deep breaths outdoors, be silent outdoors or even when we are asked to put our bare feet onto Mother Earth, those are ways to be fully conscious of Mother Earth and fully receive the energy she so generously provides us and us her.
There is a saying, I am not sure who the author is, ” nature is our spirit just as spirit is our nature“. Native Americans have always known this. Actually, we all have, but most of us have forgotten. Somehow, it got confused and wrapped up in religion. But the energy of Mother Nature has nothing to do with religion. It is a gift from God…..always present no matter the religion.
Be open to receive the ever-present gifts of Mother Nature. Pause and let her infuse your soul with her loving energy. And kindly, lovingly, return the favor.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……
-Meditate/pray……be fully aware of your own spirit….your own energy.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Feel Mother Nature’s energy
-Drink lots of water. Let Mother Nature cleanse your body, mind and spirit.
-Listen to the sounds of Mother Nature. Let her sing to you and calm your soul.
What made me smile yesterday……
-We were able to go to Alex’s work and meet her bosses and people she works with.
-We got to see her friends take off in one of their jets.
-We had dinner in and Alex invited Austin and James for us to meet. Austin had to work at the last-minute but it was great meeting James.
-Another great day. It was supposed to rain but turned out to be warm and sunny.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
