For your consideration…..

I guess it is natural that repentance should come up during Holy Week. But this is probably not the message you are expecting.

We are being told today that looking back and dwelling on our less than stellar moments is not repentance. It is just “wishful thinking”. True repentance is accepting life is a journey, letting go of judgement and “bringing our best self to this moment and living it fully.”

There is no better repentance than living a well-lived life for the benefit of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….let go of those nagging regrets of the ego.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be joyous and grateful for the journey you have traveled and the person you are because of it.

What made me smile yesterday……

-An early morning call from my Sis.

-Errands with Bruce….twice the errands in half the time. Works for me.

-Sweats all day.

-A “care package” from my neighbor. She really should quit doing that but we feel special when she does.

-My girls.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
