For your consideration……

I never know what the daily message will be. Today’s message had me puzzled at first. The message is clear but it seems like it is a message perfect for after the holidays. But as always we get what we get when we are supposed to get it. Everything is in Divine Timing and Order.

We are being asked to notice or bring our attention to the energy of the season. It is the same in all religions. The season gathers our collective energy and focuses it on the giving. Each year we can all feel the excitement, joy and love.

Today we are asked to notice and feel this energy. And we are being asked to think about it. Centered around a common purpose, this is energy “we” have collectively created. Each of us has called up and put into action the energy we want to see in the season. We collectively participate. We each give and receive the love, joy and giving during the season.

The season we create year after year shows us what we are capable of. We can control and change energy in our self, house, city and the world. We….each of you, others and me can create the world we want to see.

We do not have to put the reason for the season away when we take down the decorations. We can perpetuate it. We can continue to give our time, talent and treasure everyday. We can continue to call up the energy of love, joy and giving everyday should we choose. We can call up the energy and create a different future.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate. Treat yourself to the peace of self.

-Drink lots of water. It is easy to get dehydrated once we turn on those furnaces.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Act with purpose.

What made me smile yesterday……

-A relaxing morning.

-I taught at a new school. As in most schools there were lots of posters on the walls demonstrating positive behavior. One such poster the teach had created. It demonstrated “getting ready to learn”. I loved that the third item down the list was “take 3 deep breaths.” Ahhhh, acknowledgement of a key to life…..using our breath.

-I made it home right before the freeway was shut down. Yeah.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
