Learn To Be Still

For your consideration……

Even though I know better, sometimes I question or bulk at delivering the  message I am given. It is useless. It is an exercise in futility because if that is the message that is to be delivered, it will not go away until it is done.

Today is one of those days. I woke up with “Learn To Be Still” playing in my head. I kept thinking we had this message before so that today this was part of my own dreams. So I went into meditation waiting for our blog message. But meditation was a complete bust because this song just kept getting louder and then I started hearing “It’s Just a Waste Of Time”. Our Angels and Guides are never short on persistence.

So if we have had this message before either we are not listening or it bears repeating because clearly our Guidance wants us to hear it today.

If you follow this blog you know that I sometimes substitute teach. I have noticed something. By middle school many, if not most students, are very uncomfortable with silence. It is more than “talking in class”. I mean if you ask them to close their eyes for a moment and be alone with themselves, most are lost and very uncomfortable. At first I thought it was a “middle school thing”. But now I know that it is the beginning of a life pattern.

Watch small children. They are very comfortable with themselves. Playing alone their creativity is abundant. Add other children to the mix and they just all pick up and accept the free thinking and add theirs to the mix.

But somewhere between then and middle school that comfort with self and silence is lost. We start chasing dreams that may or may not be our own. We are searching everywhere for what is sitting inside of us waiting for us to be still and hear. We are searching for that voice we so clearly heard as children.

We are part of the Oneness. We have a purpose. We are perfect for it. Nothing can change that. Be still, Dear Ones, and hear your Guidance speak to your perfect authentic self.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/Pray. Bless yourself with silence.

-Yup, I know that winter has arrived for many of us but still get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water.

-Write an affirmation affirming your right and need for silence. Make a commitment to setting aside time each day for you. Consistency is the key.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-My dog, Dude, and I made a trip to Stillwater.

-Christmas cards are done and ready to be sent. Wahoo.

-Our first snow. I am smiling because the day before was so uncharacteristically warm for a Thanksgiving.

-Catching up with Jackie and Alex.
