For your consideration……

You know I do a search everyday for a photo to compliment the message. But, yikes,  most of the pictures today were frankly nasty. So let’s settle for this cute parrot.

Itchy feet! What does that mean?

Our feet give us balance and grounding. And usually and itch means suppression of some kind.

Today’s message really compliments several we have had lately.  Many people are feeling unbalanced, unhappy, out of sorts, antsy etc. This is not bad. This is our message….our urging….to move on. It is our message to heal and let go. It is our message to fix what can be fixed and let go what can not.

But even more than that, it is a message to move toward our dreams and life purpose. We are all being encouraged to move into our “spots”. Have faith in you. Trust those feelings you have urging you into new beginnings. Try those new opportunities that are dropped in front of you. Trust those ideas that pop into your head from seemingly nowhere.

There are no coincidences. Don’t second guess yourself. That is your ego talking. Our feet are itching because it is time to move on. Fighting to stay in a place that no longer offers us growth is creating the itch. Suffice to say the longer we fight it, the more itchy and more unbalanced we will become until we are forced to move.

Let’s not wait for that. Let’s open up. Let’s go with the flow laid out in front of us. Let’s figure out our life purpose and what brings us not only joy, love and happiness, but what also makes us complete.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate. Be still and trust what you think, feel and hear.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Use a “T” chart. On one side write all that feels right. On the other side write what feels wrong, uncertain or out of balance. You don’t have to solve it all today. It is the first step. We take it one step at a time.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-A perfect fall day with lots of sun and mild temperatures.

-A perfect class of 2nd graders. Fun. Fun. Fun.

-With grade schoolers you get recess. Wahoo. That is where I took my 10 deep breaths. Perfect.

-A little bit of shopping.

-A perfect evening out with Nick, Kathy, Mary, Shannon, AJ, Mackenzie, Aiden and James. Kathy was right. It is a great event. Polo Fields does an evening where children can decorate a ginger bread house. They set them up in one banquet room with all the foods kids love and let them go to town. Meanwhile the adults sit in another room and quietly have dinner and drinks. Again, it was perfect evening.

-An early bedtime.

-Hey, it was a perfect day beginning to end.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
