For your consideration……

For many of us we tend to think of forgiveness in relation to big things…..big disgreements, aggrieved errors etc. But that is not what is being brought to our attention here. It is just as important to forgive the little things as it is to forgive the big. There is no difference. And that may be a hard concept to swallow for some. But remember, when judgement is removed, there is no big and little.

It is also important to remember that it is just as important to forgive ourselves as it is to forgive others.

Why is forgiveness so important? Because it is negative energy that we are holding onto. That energy does not serve us well. It inhibits our growth. It colors our vision and clarity. It attracts more of the same back to us. Do we really need any more negative energy?

So when we have those caddy or mean-spirited thoughts, worse yet say them or act on them, it is important that we put atonement into play as quickly are we realize the error. And again just as important, if someone seeks our forgiveness we should quickly give it. What if we are wronged and our forgiveness is not sought? Forgive anyway. Because quite simply that is not the energy we want to carry and attract. Be selfish. Treat negative energy like a hot potato.

Try to remember that forgiveness does not really cost our authentic self anything. Our ego may be shouting in our ear telling us something different. But that is wrong thinking. Deep down on our soul level we know that forgiveness serves our highest good and the good of all. That is the HOPE.

Forgiveness is not something

we do for other people.

We do it for ourselves-

to get well and move on.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate….identify what if anything needs to be let go. Then let it go.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Go for a walk if you can or try to do a few exercises…..a mid-week stretch.

-If you are seeking help or clarity. Write it down, read it before you go to bed, put it in a “dream box” next to your bed. Journal your dreams in the morning. Analyze them. We get lots of messages and healing while we sleep.

What made me smile yesterday….

-I taught my favorite classes to some of my favorite students. Fun. Fun. Fun.

-I convinced Bruce to do his civic duty and vote.

-An early bedtime.

-Great phone talks with some of my favorite friends, Dianne, Julie and Sandy.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
