For your consideration…

Yikes, today’s message is a bit tough but sometimes we need tough messages or lessons.

Many of us had or know someone who had a rough childhood. This is the example used for today’s message. As a child we have very little power. We are forced to live life as it is given to us. But we grow up and as we grow so does our power. Our childhood does not have to determine our future. We can reject it, take the lessons, and become exactly who we want to be. We have all heard of or know people who have done exactly that. Likewise we have all heard or or know people who do the exact opposite. They use their childhood as reason for every thing wrong in their life. At some point all the sad stories become a “so what.” Everyone has sad stories. Everyone has trials and tribulation. It is up to us to decide if we are a victim or survivor.

We are all born with a life purpose. We are all given everything we need to complete it. It is up to us to seize them.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-We get to choose how we handle trials and tribulations.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Waking up to a beautiful white blanket covering my lawn.

-Catching up with Mary.

-James, Alex, Conner and I rode the Polar Express train.

-A fun time in Ashley’s Christmas Village.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
