For your consideration…

Most of us would agree the benefits of being a part of a team and competition. Certainly the lack of sports options for girls held women back. The world is better and brighter with more women’s sports.

Any of us who have had children who compete have probably come across those “over the top” parents who somehow miss what sportsmanship and team competition is all about. They forget to be the positive role model.

Today’s message reminds us of the value of competition and the pitfalls we can fall into. We are asked to pause and step back and ask ourselves who are we really competing against? What is at the “root” of competition? The answer should always be US. The point of competition is to make ourselves better. We should always be competing to become better at our craft, gain strength and experience, gain confidence, gain friends and opportunities, be better role models and teachers, etc.

Our biggest competitor is ourselves. Striving to always improves is how we grow and move forward towards our highest good and the highest good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light, Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Compete for yourself.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Jody and Mary.

-Some good cooking done.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
