For your consideration…

I should have known this message would not go away. As you know, I do ZERO politics on this blog. None. Nada. And normally I do not remember a message after it is written. I think my brain is wiped so that I will not push back and doubt the message given because I have written it before. I’ve come to realize that does not matter because someone needs it today.

Yesterday’s message was about “we belong together.” We were asked to consider that there are no accidents. We share the world and our individual lives with exactly the people we are supposed to. The example I was given and did not write was Presidents Biden and Trump. Why? Because politics are such a explosive topic. Even if you are not talking politics, just bringing up their names can do the same for some people.

Personally, it makes me very sad that we can not honor each other by listening and respecting their right to their thoughts and opinions. And sadly, it is not just about politics anymore. It seems like it is a “for me or against me” world. And if we ask ourselves “Is it true?” The resounding answer would be NO. We absolutely do not have to agree to still love and respect one another. Agreement is not a prerequisite to love and respect.

Today’s message is about bitterness. And once again, it came in with the example of the debate between the Presidents. Yesterday my friend called and said that her brother had run into another friend of ours and ranted about the debates. Obviously, the two are polar opposites. Our friend, however, was shocked at her brother and didn’t know how to respond except he called her and putting her on the spot.

Our message tells us that this bitterness….any bitterness…damages OUR spirit. It hurts US. Consider this quote:

“Bitterness is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.”

If we believe in freedom and everyone’s right to it…if we believe in Divine Timing…if we believe in Divine Purpose…if we believe that love always is the answer, then there is no room for bitterness.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Keep your heart free of bitterness.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day with lots of rain and finally sun.

-A lot of cooking done for the big shower.

-Catching up with Alex and Mary.

-Final prep for my summer camp starting tomorrow.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
