For your consideration…

It has been a long time since we have had a Rumi quote. He can be hard to understand and often takes deep studying. Fortunately for us today, our message direction has been given to us. So don’t shoot the messenger if you do not agree that this is what the quote’s true meaning is.

Our message today simply tells us that knowledge and cleverness is great. Using our knowledge can be powerful. It can make us successful. It is even more powerful when we use it for the highest good of all.

But…there is always a but. We are asked to consider not resting on our laurels…our knowledge. We are asked to stoke our bewilderment and always be seeking with the wonder of a child. Staying bewildered and seeking to understand more…learn more…is how we grow. We are never too old to grow. We are never too old to seek more.

That is the HOPE.  And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm….“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Stay bewildered.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day…a beautiful week.

-Teaching preschoolers. Talk about bewildered. They are sponges. It is incredible what they already know.

-I took Mary, Conner, and Alex out to dinner for Alex’s birthday. Mary then treated us to Dairy Queen which Alex has been craving. She loved her night and so did Conner.

-An early bed.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
