For your consideration…

“Read the room.” is the exact message today. It made me laugh because of the example I was given. Teachers often admonish a student blurting out or talking when silence is called for with, “catch a bubble.” Meaning, pretend you have a bubble in your mouth and can not talk. Sounds sill, I know. But it is usually pretty successful.

We are often given messages about Divine Timing. Of course, it is the indisputable. However, it does not give us a blanket excuse for blurting out our thoughts, requests, opinions, etc. at inappropriate moments. Most spouses are experts at this with each other. Time is the wise teacher our learning the best moment to get out thoughts out or requests made.

Entertainers often can tell the energy of their audience and the type of evening it is going to be. Business people can often feel the energy of a meeting and if they are smart make adjustments accordingly. Teachers can usually tell from the get go where students are at or the dynamics between students. Every one of us has the ability to read the room, people, or situation. Today we are reminded to not only hone that skill but use it wisely.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Read the room.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Sweet preschoolers.

-A great summer camp planning meeting.

-A good book.

-Catching up with Alex.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
