For your consideration…

We have lots of messages about being fully present in the moment. We are often reminded that the past and future are illusions. All that is real is the present moment. Indeed, the personal message I was given to journal for myself today was “Here and Now.”

However, today’;s message for this blog is more specific. I realize now that it has been coming in over a few days and I just now got it.

I am in Utila and have a wonderful back porch with a hammock. I am in the heart of the city. The language here is Spanish. As I lay in the hammock, I hear many Spanish conversations going on. Yet there is one that I often turn into. As I did today, bingo, the lights came on. This gentleman carries on his whole conversations in Spanish but when he tells his children goodby”e he says “I love you, hijo.” “I love you, hija.” He tel;ls them he loves them in English. It was the”ding” I needed to key into the message.

Our message is exactly this. Do no ever waste a moment in expressing your feelings to those you love. Do not walk out a door without using the opportunity to express your feelings. We are never guaranteed the next moment or day, etc. That is one reason to tell our loved ones we love them. But the other is simply that we brighten their day. We set a tone for us, them and all of the people we come in contact with.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Tell people how you feel.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Louie and I went on a snorkeling adventure. It was great to be on the boat, beautiful islands, and the sea.

-Met new friends, from Colorado, Texas, and Canada.

-Catching up with Mary.

-I finished a great book. Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
