Song sparrows shuffle and mix their tunes • Earth.com

For your consideration…

There is a lot to today’s message. Both examples, sparrows and the wind, point us to resilience.

Let’s think about the wind first. Depending on circumstances the wind can be a helpful, destructive, gentle, strong, comforting, scary, etc. The wind at varying times in our lives is all of those things.

The sparrow symbolizes awakening and triumph of common nobility…us. The sparrow multiplies and is assertive in spite of predation. It is strong against all odds.

The sparrow and the wind today reminds us that despite what anyone thinks of us, despite the odds stacked against us, despite the circumstances, despite the obstacles and problems, etc. we are resilient enough to stand up to them

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-You have the strength and resilience of a sparrow.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Conner and I staying in our PJ’s all day.

-He played and asked me to read him The Little Engine That Could at least a dozen times. Hmmm…now that I think about it. It is a great affirmation to today’s message.

-Catching up with Shannon, Kathy, and Mary.

-A good mystery.

-Shannon feels better. Alex and James made it home safe and sound.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
