For your consideration…

We often think about distractions as negative. They keep us from focusing. Controlling them is the biggest challenge for those of us who meditate.

But there is a flip side. There is a balance. Distraction can be a helpful tool. Sometimes we are so in our zone we are hyper-focused and can get stuck in our thinking. It can become blocked. A distraction is exactly what we need to break the zone. Or if we are scared, a distraction can take our mind off of the fear. Working hard can exhaust us, a distraction is just what we need to create a break.

Today is just a little thought reminding us to use distractions to our benefit. Sometimes they are just what we need.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let distractions work for you.

What made me smile  yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A little gardening.

-A good book.

-Catching up with Alex and Lori.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
