7 Signs You May Be Ready for a Big Career Change | Inc.com

For your consideration…

Don’t shoot the messenger. Today’s message is simple but does not come with a lot of details such as the basic “what, when, and where” question. It came in via the song “People Get Ready” by Curtis Mayfield. I recognized the song right away although I did not know any of the lyrics past the first line. The song itself is today’s message. While we may not know the change that is coming, it serves us well that change is constant. We may not feel like we are prepared for it, but we are. And it serves us well to be excited versus fearful.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

“People Get Ready”

People get ready
There’s a train a comin’
You don’t need no baggage
You just get on board
All you need is faith
To hear the diesels hummin’
You don’t need no ticket
You just thank the Lord

So people get ready
There’a a train to Jordan
Picking up passengers
Coast to coast
Faith is the key
Open the doors and board them
There’s hope for all
Among those loved the most

There ain’t no room
For the hopeless sinner
Who would hurt all mankind
Just to save his own
Have pity on those whose
Chances grow thinner
There’s no hiding place
Against the Kingdom’s throne

So people get ready
There’s a train a comin’
You don’t need no baggage
You just get on board
All you need is faith
To hear the diesels hummin’
Don’t need no ticket
You just thank the Lord
