For your consideration…

Our message came in via an Eagle’s song, “Life in the Fast Lane.” I love the Eagles but I have to say this one is not one of my favorites. It has always felt chaotic to me. So it is obvious why it was given to me for today’s message.

We are often encouraged to step out of our comfort zone. Some of us find it easier than others. But today’s message is about living too fast. It is about having too much chaos in our life.

It can be fun to do and try something new. We need to do that. We may think, I would like to do this all of the time. Or maybe, we are that person that is always on the go. We go from one thing to the next. We get a free moment and our mind automatically goes to how we can fill it. Even on vacation we can do this. How many times have we said or heard, “I need a vacation from vacation?”

We need balance and peace in our life. We need pauses. We need to get silent and listen for Guidance. Our Guidance can not get a word in edgewise or get our attention when we are constantly on the move and hyper-focused on our next task.

We are asked to get still. We are asked to relax. We are asked to leave space for guidance.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Relax and rejuvenate.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-The township finally picked up our tree branches from the storm several weeks ago.

-Jul had Vic and I over for Chinese and fun.

-A little bit of shopping done.

-I made a decision to book a cruise only to find out that it is double the money. Lesson learned, don’t wait.

-I finally decided I had to bite the bullet and call DISH. Half my channels have been out for a week no matter how many resets. I am supposed to get a repairman out today but not heard from them so far. So we will see.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev.Chris
