For your consideration…

Writing a blog from a ship has presented its challenges. The good news I am up and running today but could not pull up pictures. Blogging for the next few weeks may or may not happen. That is the down side. The up side it being able to travel again. Today I am blogging from Alicante, Spain.

Our message today is about blessings. Without judgment all blessings are the same. But to us, because we have a hard time not comparing, some blessings seem bigger than others. For example, we can not find our keys. Then just as we are getting really frustrated we find them. This is a blessing. But it may not feel as big as when you lose your key fob for 7 months and then find it. We may not remember all of the times we have lost and found our keys but we remember when they were lost for months and then found them.

Today wants us to remember the feeling of being blessed. Why? Because we receive many blessings we don’t even know about. One of the challenges in our careers is showing the work we have done. It is easy to see work when we fix something. But it is hard to know our whole impact when we have done our job really well and thus avoided disasters.

Blessings work the same way. We hardly ever know all of the blessings that have been bestowed on us keeping us out of trouble. Think of the people on 9/11 who were late for work or took the day off.

We are blessed with blessings we know and don’t know about. Live with confidence.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

“”

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest tood of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Count our blessings.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A warm sunny day.

-An easy embarkation.

-New things, new people.

-Spending time with Cathy.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
