For your consideration…

It seems that every holiday season we think about people who may feel alone. Or perhaps, we feel lonely ourselves. Somehow the holiday season seems to amplify loneliness. Of course, we know that there is no “season” for loneliness.

Our Faith, no matter which one we follow, teaches that we are never alone. Our God, our Guidance, Spirit…is always walking with us. They feel our pain.

However, today’s message is not about that. Today’s message reminds us that we never walk alone in our physical life either. We are human beings sharing a human experience. So while we may feel alone, we are not. We are asked to own our share of the loneliness. We have a responsibility for reaching out via in-person, phone, or the media. If we are feeling lonely, we need to reach out. Perhaps we don’t need physical support but need to socialize. Go out. Be among people. Volunteer. We do not have to sit and dwell on our loneliness.

Are these cures for loneliness? No, but they are steps towards shrinking the feeling.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take..

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Share the human experience we people.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Was able to get my nails done.

-Lunch with Mary, AJ and her kids.

-Mary Scott, Mackenna, and Elliot came over and made some Christmas cards.

-Dianne, Jul, Louie, and I got a walk in around Ford Lake.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
