For your consideration…

I loved when I found the above image because I was trying to figure out how to do a good job explaining today’s message. To say that people are at odds with one another seems like a gross understatement. We might think that our message would be to not engage in conflict and ignore those who want to be in conflict. Perhaps that is a good strategy but once again we are reminded of intention.

To be indifferent to people by ignoring, dismissing, or disliking them because they do not agree with us is not how we can change the world…make it a better place. Indifference at its core lacks love and empathy. We know that is never a good thing. That is never a good way to proceed.

We may disagree but we owe it to each other to honor the right to do so. We owe it to each other to still love and care for each other. Marianne Williamson wrote;

Indifference, especially indifference towards other people, is one of the worst defects we can have.

To think only of oneself, without caring about what is happening to one’s neighbor, reflects a very

narrow view of the world, a blindered mind and a rtghtness of heart.

Let us not be indifferent.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Love one another.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day in Virginia Beach.

-An amazing conference at the Edgar Cayce A.R.E. conference center.

-So many wonderful people.

-A great day with Kathy and Heather.

-Catching up with Mary.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
