For your consideration…

Oh my, I love today’s message because its tone is happy and fun.

When we think of options…having options…most of us would think, “Yeah, it’s great to have them.” But when the reality of life hits us, sometimes we panic. Or we get confused. We find it hard to make decisions. Our options become stressful.

I have a girlfriend, Jody, who visits me every year. It is something we look forward to each summer. And each summer without fail, she brings enough clothes to last for the entirety of two seasons versus the two weeks she is here. I always comment on it and her response is always the same, “I know, I know. but I like to have options.” She is willing to go through the hassle of checking bags and lugging them to keep her options open. It makes her happy.

Of course, there are many situations that the options are more serious and they can cause us to stress. But today’s message reminds us that it is good to have options…to have choices. The key is to remember that. Remember with the intention that they good to have. It is way better to have them them than not.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate options.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A fun card-making day with friends at Chris’ on the St. Clair river. We made 6 great cards and learned some new great techniques.

-Visiting with Shannon while she prepared for today’s tailgate.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
