For your consideration…

Guilt is of the ego’s making. It is that small voice in our head telling us all that we do wrong, what we should have done instead, what we can’t do…you know all of the “n’t” words. We all have it. At various times in our lives we are more successful at shutting it down than others.

But we are asked to remember, be very clear that to accept quilt we are playing God.  We are not qualified to play judge and jury with ourselves or anyone else. We know this. We are often told to suspend judgment. We can not have guilt without judgment. I like this quote. I am not clear on the other.

If you’re into guilt, you’re playing God.

The Universe is created so it’s OK to make a mistake.

If you feel guilty about what you have done,

you’re saying it’s not OK to make mistakes.

We are put in situations to learn and grow. It is how the Universe is designed. Are we always successful? No. But we still gained a learning experience. So we move on having grown…unless we choose to accept the guilt of the ego hold us back. Guilt is like having a ball and chain around our ankles while trying to swim upstream.

If we feel guilt, we are asked to think about why. Accept the experience and let it go.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go of guilt.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-I had my friends from DKG over for lunch and a planning meeting.

-Dinner at Ruth Chris with Alex, Shannon, and Mackenzie. So fun.

-Late night chat with Kathy.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
