For your consideration…

Our actual message was, “Feed your brain.” Every image I brought up was about good food for the brain. That is important and we should do that. However, that is not the main focus of today’s message.

Instead, it is more about “exercising” our brain. Our brain is a muscle and like any other muscle, it needs to be utilized on a regular basis. The more we use it the stronger it becomes. Likewise, the less we use it the weaker it becomes.

Unlike a lot of exercises, exercising the brain can be fun. Playing games, solving puzzles, doing memorization exercises, crafting, hobbies, meditation, reading, etc. are all things that make our brain stronger. Crossword and sudoku books are cheap at the dollar store. Many free game apps are available for our phones as well as meditations.

Our message today simply points out that we are never to young or old to exercise our brains.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Exercise our minds.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful, albeit hot, day.

-Conner’s swim practice. He is really starting to get the hang of it. More importantly, he loves it.

-Catching up with Shannon and Cathy.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
