For your consideration…

Ahhh, if only it were that easy. If we could unconditionally love like our pets do, it would be so easy.

Wanting to be the best we can be involves being the best we can be to others. It involves loving and supporting others. However, what if we don’t really like them that much. Hmmm, the challenge is to still love them as we love ourselves.

We think that loving and supporting other is easier with the people we like and love. Today’s message says, “No, sometimes it is harder.” How can this be? It is hard to love and support and know where to draw the line. Sometimes loving and supporting mean saying “NO!” It is possible to do too much and make our loved onse dependent on us. We become codependents. This is not good for them or ourselves. Again, we need to love our loved ones as we love ourselves. Do we want to be dependent on someone else and not be able to support ourselves? De we want to be an alcoholic or drug abuser? De we want to be unappreciative…ungrateful? Do we want to be unloveable? Do we want to be a liar or thief? ETC…ETC…ETC.

It is hard to say NO and/or support bad choices when we are dealing with those we love. Our message today tells us that sometimes that is exactly what we have to do for THEIR highest good. It does not me we don’t love and support them. It means we love them as we love ourselves…even more.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Love and support as you would yourself.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-PT for Bruce.

-An evening out with Jul and Vic.

-A visit at Nick and Kathy’s.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris.
