For your consideration…

I actually was given a funny example for today’s message. It was maternity clothes. Most women can not wait until the “baby bump” actually looks like they are pregnant…not just putting on weight. That hasn’t changed. What has changed is how we present it via the clothes we wear. It used to be we wore big tent-like tops or dresses. Women today do just the opposite. They wear tight tops that hug the baby bump.

We are asked to remember that the more things change, the more they stay the same. This is good news. Too often we are focused on our differences rather than what we have in common. We love our children but we may raise them differently. We all enjoy laughter but what makes us laugh is different. We all want to be successful but what that looks like is different for everyone.

You get the picture. Today we are asked to focus on and celebrate our common ground.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate common ground.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Amazon supplies arrived.

-Social Workers…now if they can help that will be the question.

-Catching up with Bob, my girls, and Mary.

-Hilary is doing great things for the shower. She is inspiring me.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
