For your consideration…

Ahhh, we have all been there, done that. We wish we had bit our tongue and could take back our words. Or we have bitten our tongue and wished we had been brave enough to speak up. Once again, we look for…wish to know… wisdom and balance.

And once again, we have to look to our authentic selves. What is the truth? Does it serve the highest purpose of all? This is far different than speaking from the self-serving ego.

So maybe the solution is the 5 second rule. Give ourselves a moment or two or three and think before we speak. Think, ask…does this need to be said? Am I saying it from a kind and loving heart? If not, we need to bite our tongues. There is enough angst and negativity rolling around right now.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…I love.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest purpose and the highest purpose of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Think before we speak.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A good Zoom call with the doctor.

-Bruce’s hand is being taken care of and HOPEfully the hospital will come up with a good plan on how to safely take care of him at home.

-Catching up with Dianne and my girls.

-Kathy and Nick made a brief visit.

-Shannon had the forethought to go pick up Louie just in case we were gone for longer than we thought. I did not get home until midnight and Bruce was still not in a room in the hospital.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
