Circle of Emotions

For your consideration…

I have a book. I’ve had it for many years. It is called A Guide for the Advanced Soul. You do not read it cover to cover. You hold a problem in your mind and then open the book to see the answer or words of wisdom. Like I said, I have had this book for many years. I have given it as a gift many times.

Today’s message comes from this book. It is a quote by Gita Bellin;

“Every issue, belief, attitude or assumption is precisely the issue

that stands between you and your relationship

to another human being: and between you and yourself.

Please note that the relationship is not defined. This is because it is the case in every relationship. When we let judgment enter into our issue, belief, attitude, or assumption, we strip it of its truth. We let our judgment cloud it. We color the truth with our own issues, beliefs, attitudes, or assumptions. It creates division and resolution more difficult.

Think about all that is going on. Think about listening to news that just reported facts without opinions. Think about listening without forming opinions, rebuttals.

Our truth is our truth. We don’t have to argue about it. We can grow and change it as we determine we need to. We are growing works in progress. We don’t have to defend our issues, beliefs, attitude, or assumptions. And we definitely do not need to judge and argue with others about theirs. We just need to listen and respect each other’s truths.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be still and confident in your own truth and respect that of others.

What made me smile yesterday…

-My first day back to in-person teaching.

-A beautiful day.

-A good new book.

-A long night’s snooze. I am definitely only working every other day.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
