For your consideration…

“One man’s treasure is another man’s garbage and visa versa.” We can all relate and if we have ever cleaned out a parent’s or aunt’s house we can absolutely relate to today’s message.

We can create, buy, save treasures. But it is important to realize that they are treasures to us. They may have zero value to others including our loved ones. What calls to one person’s soul may not speak to another’s. This is OK. There is no reason for hurt feelings or guilt.

My husband used to get so upset when his mother would ask if there was anything that we wanted. She would be happy to put his name on it. Indeed many things throughout his parents house would have a name taped to the bottom or back of it. We used to feel uncomfortable but really it was not. She just wanted to honor our wishes. She wanted to make sure we got anything that we loved.

We are asked today to suspend judgment and let go. Our only obligation is to what speaks to us. If we have something our loved ones want, consider just giving it to them. If we are purging, ask if anyone wants anything. If they don’t, consider blessings someone else through donation.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Honor YOUR treasures and suspend judgment on those of others.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A good book.

-Catching up with Jackie.

-Little tasks will HOPEfully lead to big rewards. One step at a time, right?

Love, blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
