For your consideration…

Probably most of us have heard and used this phrase over and over. It is meant as encouragement.

And of course, it is encouraging. We know that we need to be persistent in our goals and life purpose. We have to have some struggle to grow and learn our life lessons.

BUT…there is a but. Too often we think of but as a bad word…the downer. But lets change our thinking and attitude. Let’s consider BUT as the balance word. BUT is the word that gives us pause to think, consider and verify.

Where there is a will, there is a way” is positive. We should be invested in our goals and dreams. BUT is we are running up against obstacle after obstacle we should pause and ask ourselves why? “Where there is a will, there is a way” should not feel like a constant swimming against the flow.

Obstacles may give us pause to figure things out but they do not ultimately interfere with our forward motion. That is very different than constantly going against the natural flow of our life towards our purpose.

BUT is a balance word. it is a good word.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Love the “buts.”

What made me smile yesterday…

-Sunshine.

-A perfect day to finish hedging my shrubs. Now just the clean up to do.

-Blog sorting…progress is slow but in constant motion forward.

-A good book.

-Catching up with my sister.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
