For your consideration…

There is just so much to say about silence. We are asked to practice getting silent each day in meditation or prayer to help us hear our Guidance and to maintain peace and balance in our life. Silence is an important tool.

Today’s message addresses another aspect of silence. It came in as very funny. When I asked for clarification, I was told “As in bite your tongue.” The part of silence focused on today is about learning when to keep our mouth shut.

We simply do not have to comment on every single thing. Sometimes our role is just to listen. Sometimes we need  to bite our tongue to avoid an unnecessary conflict because it just is not worth it. And sometimes as Emily Dickinson says, “Saying nothing sometimes says the most.” (Think about the mother’s look.)

Today we are asked to give even the briefest of pauses and think before we speak. Is it of value? Is it positive?

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Practice “Holding our tongues.”

What made me smile yesterday….

-Very early morning aqua aerobics.

-A beautiful sunny day.

-A new recipe that will be perfect for leftovers.

-A good book.

-Catching up with Alex, Kelly and Cathy.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
