For your consideration…

I must say I am not surprised by today’s message. Most everyone I talk too are frazzled. So today we are reminded to take care of ourselves.

Our first clue that we need to nurture ourselves is when we don’t think we have time to. That is an indication that we need to pause and look at what WE need.

Do we need to eat and balance our diet? Do we need to drink more water? Do we need to spend some time in silence with ourselves? Do we need to exercise? Do we need more sleep? Do we need more unconditional joy? What brings us joy?

When we are running low on energy, we more than likely need many of the above to put us back on track, to bring us in balance and restore our energy. It is not selfish to take care of ourselves. The only way we can be our best self to others is by nurturing, loving and taking care of ourselves first.

We are asked today to suspend judgment and guilt and be good to ourselves.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Take care of ourselves.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A great 5th grade class.

-The weather was tough but we managed to get a recess in between rain showers.

-A good book.

-A good nights snooze.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
