For your consideration….

It is easy to focus on all of the negativity we are surrounded by. Protests, protests, protests, is on the daily news every single day. I have said many times that I no longer listen to the news or even talk shows because they are such a damper on HOPE.

I doubt that I am alone. It is like the little boy who cried wolf, when he really needed help it fell on deaf ears. But just to be clear, there are things worth fighting for. Those are the battles we need to pick. It does not mean that we are not right about those other things. But when we argue and fight every time we think we are right, our voice becomes weakened. Others start to tune us out. Most parents learn this raising their children.

So what can we do when we walk away from the argument? We can be an example. We can do what we think is right and be compassionate to those who disagree. We can be respectful and HOPEful in reciprocation.

That is the HOPE.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Pick your battles.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A rainy day is tough for young school children. They need to get out and run. While it rained off and on all day, it stopped each time we had an opportunity to take our kiddos out.

-Lots of stuff done.

-Experimentation with water colors….fun…fun…fun.

-So what do you do when you get your dates mixed up? Sit down and have a drink until your take-out is ready.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
