For  your consideration….

I know. We all have fears we need to conquer. Our message today wants us to consider a couple of things.

First, we tend to think we are alone when in fact most people share our very same fears. The greatest fear of all is probably the fear of the unknown. Our ego loves to let our mind run rampant with what ifs; This could happen. What if this or that doesn’t happen? What will people think? What if I can’t get this done? …….and on it goes. Fear has a doom and gloom scenario for everything.

Fear of the unknown is often so big that people stay in horrible situations because they can not envision any other situation. They dare to dream and believe in a new life. They stay with what they know versus what they don’t.

Under “normal” circumstances most people do not have a fear of Christmas. Often we don’t know what our presents are going to be but we want them anyway, right? We are wrapped up in the mystery and excitement. Think about how that feels.

So the first part of our message is to acknowledge our fear of the unknown. The second part is to consider giving ourselves an attitude adjustment. Hey, we are in a constant state of change. We can not change that. Rather than fight it, why not embrace it. Why not be excited like at Christmas? Why not replace our fear with curiosity and dreams? It sure is better than the alternative.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask..”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Be excited for the answer. Embrace what is delivered.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A beautiful day.

-Spending the day with Jody.

-Seeing lots of old friends.

-A beautiful moon.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
