For  your consideration….

Don’t you just love this picture? Our message today tells us that “you can teach an old dog new tricks.”

We are constantly evolving, constantly learning whether we choose to or not. It may seem like we aren’t keeping up but we that is because the “nature” of our lessons change. We are told today that our lessons are “age appropriate.”

There is a second part of today’s message. We can change or undo things we have learned that we now know are not correct, good for us or valid. Perhaps we have gone along with the crowd and now know it was a bad decision. We can change that. We can change bad habits we have “learned” along the way. We have the experience and can share it, teach it. Let me give you a funny example. If you watch little children, you will see that a lot of them do not know how to “gently” turn the pages of a book. Instead you will find them “swiping” to turn the page. Isn’t it hysterical? Children teach seniors to “swipe” and seniors teach children how to be gentle with books and “turn” the page.

Once again, we are constant learners. Celebrate that.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask..”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate being a learner.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Wow, my “bug” that I seemed to have picked up got better throughout the day.

-The middle of October and it was 81 degrees.

-The wind in the fall blowing through the trees has a distinct and beautiful sound.

-Laughing with Cathy.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
