For your consideration…..

I often say, “The world will not change until the other half of the population stand up.” I believe that and certainly things are changing. Perhaps not as fast as we would like. Often the change is that women take on more responsibility, versus “sharing” responsibilities. Too often different “jobs or tasks” are classified as gender specific versus gender neutral.

As women awaken roles are in a state of flux. Women have a vision. Where does that leave men?

As I look at the men I know; my husband, son-in-law, friends, sons of friends, I see men who are doing a lot picking up some of the load for women. For me it has been easy to miss the confusion of many men. The masculine used to be very clear about their role as provider, disciplinarian, protector, mechanic etc. Many men now take on more of the feminine care giver tasks.

Again, as we see men doing more it is easy to miss those who are confused. It used to be very clear what a man’s role was. As the lines blur, many men are confused and left wondering what is the value of my life? What is my purpose?

As us Lightworkers know, many women today are on a quest. We feel free to verbalize our quest and search it out in many different directions. We are open to investigating and trying new avenues. We are not embarrassed or ashamed to express our feelings and findings.

Unfortunately, most men are not on this same quest. Sure we rub off on some of our husbands and sons but for the most part many men are floundering. Unfortunately so are their/our sons.

As the male role has become undefined, many young men are struggling to find purpose because it is no longer defined for them. Rather than see the freedom of this, they feel a void. They feel unworthy. Unlike women they often do not have a support system to hash it out with. They are not talking about it. Many just suffer alone. They are not recognizing that life purpose is a journey that we ALL are on. We are perfect just as we are while traveling this journey.

Our message today is to open our hearts, minds and ears. Listen to our men. Encourage them. Teach them. Reach out to them and share our growth. Invite them to do the same.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Look for the struggling souls and lend a hand.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A beautiful warm day.

-Figuring out new tasks.

-Lunch with Joan.

-James is home safe and sound. We loved the pictures.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
