For your consideration……

I think that many of us tend to think of envy as being negative. We associate it with jealousy and pettiness.

But our message today says that envy is not necessarily negative. It all depends on the intention we have behind the emotion.

Certainly if we are wishing we could take what belongs to someone else, if we judgmental and decide they are undeserving, or if we are mean-spirited or angry thinking we are more deserving, our intentions are negative and the envy unhealthy.

This envy is coming from the ego. The ego thinks that there is not enough to go around. If someone else has, then there is less for them.

However, if we look in the mirror and see that our intentions are happiness for other people and we see them and their blessings as an inspiration to motivate us to action, then our envy is positive and good.

This envy comes from the soul. It knows that there is plenty for everyone. One person’s prosperity does not limit another’s.

When we look in the mirror and see envy we simply need to pause and honestly ask ourselves a question about intention. Is my envy reflecting lack or HOPE?

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Relax and enjoy the weekend.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Another great night of sleep.

-Lots of progress on my book.

-Alex gave me some good suggestions.

-Sunshine for at least part of the day and a wind that we desperately need to dry up the very soggy ground.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
