For your consideration…..

We all get into disagreements. We all get angry sometimes. That saying, “It takes two to tango.” is true but it only takes one to stop.

It takes at least two to engage in the battle but it only takes one to stop. The problem is that sometimes we don’t want to stop. Perhaps it’s because we are convinced we are right or maybe it is because we have hurt feelings or bruised egos.

We need to stand up for what is right and just and our principles. However, we do not have to wallow in pettiness. That does not serve them or us well.

We are reminded today to stand for what is right. Make our position clear, do what we feel it right and then let it go. Continuing to engage in a continuous circle of arguing is unhealthy for everyone. We can not control others but we can control ourselves. We are asked to step off the circle going nowhere before we become bitter.

It is a good practice to do a little life review at the end of each day. If we feel we are holding anger, sadness, bitterness etc., we need to bless and release it for its healing and our own. We don’t need it. It will only draw us back into the circle going nowhere.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…..ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go of those nagging negative feelings each and every day.

What made me smile yesterday……

-An easy morning with a quick message from Alex.

-An easy trip to Stillwater.

-I’m back on track with my writing.

-A great email from Alex.

-Catching up with Jackie.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
