beautiful spiritFor your consideration……

I remember carrying my first daughter, Shannon. I could tell so much about her before she was born. It always amazed me that I was so familiar with her “characteristics” prior to birth. Today’s message talks about “characteristics.”

We recognize them in ourselves, people we know and even people we don’t know. Isn’t it what we do in people watching, by observation we assume things about people based on their characteristics and how we relate to them?

Characteristics define us. Their unique combination in us make us who we are. We are the same yet different, each unique.

What our message today wants us to consider is that our life is a journey. We move into and out of different stages and our characteristics move, change and adjust as well. Some deepen, some are discarded and some new ones are picked up along the way.

We morph. We develop and grow as our journey requires. That means we have to allow “room to grow” for ourselves and others. No one can stay exactly the same forever and that is a good thing. There is always room for improvement and everyone deserves the chance to pursue it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 DEEP breaths…..no matter the weather conditions. Step out onto a porch if necessary.

-Morph….grow…..allow for others to do the same.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-I love teaching Jeannie’s class.

-Teaching with Christie still tickles me.

-Alex’s hysterical pictures.

-My new winter coat is WARM.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
