Apache prayer:

“May the sun bring you new energy every day. May the moon softly restore you by night.

For your consideration…..

This morning I was reminded of an incident that happened last week. I may have mentioned it in “What made me smile,” that day. If I didn’t, I should have.

I had the morning off. I had errands to run that were close to where I was going to work in the afternoon. This was all in Ann Arbor, MI which is notorious for parking problems. Knowing this you think I would have planned ahead better. I pulled into a metered lot and soon discovered that I was low on coins. I was able to scrap enough together for 16 minutes on the meter. I quickly did one errand but wanted to shop and have lunch. I went back to the parking lot and was going to move my car to a lot that took bills or credit cards. However, I thought I would ask some people if they had change. The first two did not. The third person I asked, thought maybe he did. He proceeds to search his car until he was able to scrape up  $1.25. He was insistent that I just take the extra $.25. He said, “Take it, you’ll need it,”. He was right, I would need it but he had worked so hard digging it out for me, I insisted he take $2.00 for it. He protested but I was able to finally convince him. I was so happy, the $1.25 was just about perfect for the time I needed and I saved valuable time on which I was short. But there was more, as I was walking away, I realized that kind man had sent joy right to my heart. His very presence put light in my day and made me feel love and HOPE. I immediately asked that Blessings be sent to him. That was the event that was given to me again today.

We are all in God’s image. We are all his emissaries. We all have the ability to send Blessings and change energy that heals, sparks joy, promotes love, gives encouragement, restores calm and peace, instills HOPE etc.

We are reminded today to be generous with our Blessings. They cost us nothing but bring great rewards to all of God’s creations including ourselves.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…..bring peace and blessings forefront.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be generous with your Blessings.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-The dreaded tax day is over.

-Lunch with Jennifer.

-Windows are washed. I love looking through them watching spring bring new life to Mother Earth.

-Jackie and I found one of our favorite places to shop in Poland….on Facebook….no less.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
