“Wake Me Up”
AVICCI

Feeling my way through the darkness
Guided by a beating heart
I can’t tell where the journey will end
But I know where to startThey tell me I’m too young to understand
They say I’m caught up in a dream
Well life will pass me by if I don’t open up my eyes
Well that’s fine by me

So wake me up when it’s all over
When I’m wiser and I’m older
All this time I was finding myself
And I didn’t know I was lost

I tried carrying the weight of the world
But I only have two hands
Hope I get the chance to travel the world
But I don’t have any plans

Wish that I could stay forever this young
Not afraid to close my eyes
Life’s a game made for everyone
And love is the prize

So wake me up when it’s all over
When I’m wiser and I’m older
All this time I was finding myself
And I didn’t know I was lost

Didn’t know I was lost
I didn’t know I was lost
I didn’t know I was lost
I didn’t know (didn’t know, didn’t know)

For your consideration……
Wouldn’t it be nice to be woke up when all was well in the world? Perhaps, but life does not work that way. It is up to each of us to create the world as it is meant to be. We are all born perfectly capable of doing our share to make it so. We have a personal responsibility.
That is the first part of the message for today. The second part is this. Sometimes we may feel separate. We may feel like we are on a different road as everyone else. But just like yesterday’s message, where we were told “truth is truth even if we are the only one standing in it”, just because we feel we are walking down a road far different from everyone else, does not mean we are on the wrong road. Quite the opposite, it is far better to walk down a new road than follow along on a road we know is going nowhere. It is far better to pause and reflect on where we need to go rather than follow others who may or may not have credible or pure  intentions.
If you are here you are a lightworker or are being called to be a lightworker, walk your own road towards a better world. You have what it takes. Pick up your courage and walk your own road.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….
-Meditate/pray…..listen to your authentic self. Let it lead you down your road.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Be joyous. It is Friday.
What made me smile yesterday…….
-A sleep in morning.
-A great group of students in the afternoon.
-Overdue errands done.
-Funny voice message from Cathy.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
