For your consideration…….

Today talks about all of those life questions we have on all things big and little. Why did this happen? How will I get through this? What is my life purpose? When will this turn around? How could this be? What does this mean? Should I do this? Could I do it? Do I want to? Is it possible? How did I get here? Where should I go? Where do I want to go? What should I do? We are filled with questions every day.

Some questions are or seem obvious. The answers are readily apparent. It is true, however, that some questions we never get answered. Still, others require a lot of perseverance and working at life to get them.

Today, however, we are told that much of what we seek is just below the “crusty surface” daily life has created. Rather than keep skimming the surface we have to dig just below it to get the answers and clarity we seek.

We need to take the time to pause and dig a little. We need to take the time to pause, ask the question and wait for clarity and answers. Think of all the good things that lie below a crust……the filling of a pie, the center of a doughnut, pudding, powder snow, soft bread etc. Think of cataracts and how bright the world is when they are removed.

We are asked today to dig a little. Get rid of the crust for the answers we seek.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…..listen.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breahs outdoors.

-Pause….dig a little.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Gift shopping done. Lesson learned. If you hate to shop, plan ahead and to it on line. I know that. So why didn’t I do it.

-But then if I had, I would not have run in to Katie. I haven’t seen her in soooooo long.

-A great picture from Alex.

-Teaching at 2 of my favorite grade schools.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
