For your consideration……

We are surrounded by opinions; the media, the computer, the phone and in-person contact. We are accustomed to it. We have grown up with it. So we take it as the norm. And it translates over into our personal life. Consciously and subconsciously we know that opinions and expectations of us are being formed on a continuous basis. And it is easy to get wrapped up in them.

But today we are reminded that opinions and expectations from others do not hold the key to success in our life. They do not define us unless we allow them to.

We alone know our value. We alone know who we are. We alone hear our guidance should we choose to listen.

We have been given this message before in many different ways. There is a reason it keeps coming up. The message today is we have limited control on what others say to and about us, do to us  and expect from us.

But we have complete control of our response. And our response should always be “Who says?” If we do not concur. If it does not feel right. If our authentic self, our truth, does not say, “I say so.” Then we must simply disregard what has been thrown at us as insignificant as it truly is. That is the HOPE.

Bit by bit,  piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate. Consider meditation your daily tune up and counseling session all rolled into one.

-Drink lots of water.

-Take in at least 10 deep breaths outdoors.

-Journal what you are grateful for. Journal a positive affirmation counteracting any negative judgement that has thrown at you.

-Or try EFT. Tapping is also a great technique to change energy.

What made me smile yesterday…..

You just have to love middle schoolers. They just don’t know from day-to-day who they are….a kid one minute or a young adult the next.

-Every time I had to move from location to location, the rain magically held up until I was back inside.

-Leftovers.

-We are getting so excited for our Alex to come home.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
