For your consideration…

Today’s message is important for many reasons. Once again it touches on balance. It touches on faith. It draws our attention to attitude. There is just a lot to it. Between the time I received the message, attempted to get in and write it, I have had to affirmations to it. One of them a Facebook event by Carolyn McGee, who is part of Angel’s Teach. I have been part of this group for a few years. I am going to post the link later in the blog. I encourage everyone to listen to it. The second affirmation was when I pulled my card for my personal journal (which I do every day.) The card was “Angel Therapy.” The message on this card reminds us to give our cares and worries to our Angels and let them carry our burden.

We all have “mental models.” One of mine is to the word “surrender.” Logically I know where this comes from for me. I come from a family of strong women. They have needed to be. So my first response to the word “surrender” is h_ll no. I’m a typical type A. I will find a way. Also, we are told over and over in our messages to never give your power away. So initially, I knew I needed clarification.

Here is where the balance comes in. There are different ways to “surrender.” We can work “surrender” through fear, anger, resentment, revenge etc. While we may be victorious, we have done damage to ourselves. Those emotions always leave scars.

Or we work “surrender” through Faith, HOPE, love. We can do as the Angel Therapy card said. We can be determined, do our best but “surrender” the outcome, worries and burdens to our Guidance…our God…our Angels. When we “surrender” to them, no matter the outcome, we walk away without scars, blessed and whole.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?” Trust it. Surrender to it.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Take a look at Carolyn’s event from today.

What made me smile yesterday…

-St. Patrick’s Day.

-I made and shared the boiled pot of corned beef, cabbage, onions, carrots and potatoes. I made Irish soda bread to go with it. And finally a green pistaschio cake with green pistaschio whipped cream frosting.

-Don and Mary came for dinner.

-I took dinner to my neighbor and Kathy and Nick.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
