Wish I could, I could’ve said goodbye
I would’ve said what I wanted to
Maybe even cried for you
If I knew, it would be the last time
I would’ve broke my heart in two
Tryin’ to save a part of you

…in part from “I’ll Never Love Again” from “A Star Is Born”

For your consideration…

As I often say I love getting messages via a song. Often I am not familiar with the words of the song and only get enough of it in a message to research it for the blog. But that is not the case today. I love this song and recognized it and the words immediately. I have it saved in my favorites in Spotify.

The song is about lost love. It is about regrets. It is about wishing there was more time. It is about thinking about what could  and would have been done differently if it had been known that this was the last time the lovers would be together.

Of course, regrets don’t always happen just between lovers. We all lose people we love. It is inevitable. We know this. But we don’t always remember it. Nor is it always death that separates people.

We are reminded today to be conscious of our interactions. We are not guaranteed a “next time.” We are not guaranteed a do over. The only moment we are guaranteed is the one we are in. We are asked to make it count. Live it so that we don’t have regrets. And….if we do have regrets….fix it as soon as possible.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Live the moment to its fullest for our highest good and the highest good of all.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Another beautiful day. Lots of sunshine.

-Lots of tasks done.

-A good book.

-A great evening playing euchre with old and new friends.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
