For your consideration…

What is driving us? What is behind our motives? Why are we acting the way we do?

When we see children acting out, it is natural for us to look to cause. As adults we don’t do that as much. When we lash out, we tend to look at what made us lash out and not the underlying reason which is almost always based on some fear; fear of loss, fear of embarrassment, fear of losing, fear of how we will be viewed, fear of failure, fear of death or illness. This probably makes sense to most of us as we think about it.

What we probably never think about is fear underlying our success. Yet sadly this is frequently true. Sometimes fear is the motivator behind our achievements.

Our message today tells us that fear as a motivator is not healthy. It is not the way to reaching our full potential or solutions to problems.

Fear chips away at our belief system. It chips away at the power of light and love. Our true power is when our body, mind and spirit are aligned and totally and fearlessly committed to the power of love and its light.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go of fear.

What made me smile yesterday….

-I love my kindergartners. They are fearless to any new challenge I give them.

-The skies cleared and allowed us a beautiful afternoon recess.

-A good book.

-Catching up with Alex, Jackie and my Sis.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
