For your consideration…

I am not surprised that this message came in today. I probably attracted it. Still I think it is helpful to many of us.

Like everything else “worry” can be useful or not. It is useful as an alert or attention grabber. It becomes a burden when we let it become our focus rather than releasing it.

Notice that when worry is an alert, it is a noun. When we hold on to it, we make it a verb by putting it into action. That is the key to today’s message. Keep worry as a noun. Don’t let it become an action.

Worry as an action steals our power. It prevents us from seeing opportunities and feeling the joy in the next moment or tomorrow. When we put worry into action, we assign it power that it does not have. It can prevent nothing. It can create nothing. It can not harm us unless we let it. It has absolutely not control over what will happen next.

We are asked today to see worry for what it is and not let it dampen our joy and HOPE. Trust your God and let go of useless worry.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.” And I am worth that love.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Keep worry in the noun zone.

What made me smile yesterday…

-My brother had a safe and uneventful flight back to Florida. It was great having him here.

-A trip to get my nails done.

-Laundry done. I think I am ready for the week.

-Catching up with Jody and Alex.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
