For your consideration…

I should not be surprised that breath is our message today. This week it has come up in meditations to journal, in Mindfulness class and then again in the Mindfulness for my students yesterday. This is at least the fourth time this week that breath has turned up.

Our breath sustains us. We know that without breath our physical body dies. We know how bad we feel when we are winded our short of breath. It then becomes our main focus. But generally we do not think much about our breath. It just happens.

Our message today reminds us that our breath does much more than sustain our physical body. It is vital to our power center. When we pause and focus on our breath, we tap into our personal power. We become aware. We become controlled. We become calm. We become confident.

One of the easiest and best things we can do for ourselves is learn to focus on and control our breath because it is always with us. We take it wherever we go. It is accessible in every situation. All we have to do is be aware and focus on it to bring our personal power front and center. It is a blessing and gift from God.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths….be aware….notice the breath as you breathe in and notice when you breathe out.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Ahhh….those young 5’s kicked gave me a run for my money.

-Still, it is amazing how much they have learned.

-Many errands done on my way home.

-A visit from Dianne and Gary.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
