For your consideration…

Humanity is what binds us. It is what we all have in common. It is what binds us. When we dehumanize a person or peoples, we are refusing to see ourselves in others. Dehumanization is what allows the terrible atrocities of the world to occur. It is how the Holocaust happened.

We are asked today to remember that we…none of us….are perfect in other’s eyes but we are in our Creator’s. We are asked to look past the flaws, let judgment go and see our commonality. We are asked to be vulnerable and let everyone see exactly who we are…flaws and all. We are asked to encourage others to do the same and celebrate who they are…just as they are.

We are all part of the one and only human race. Let us respect, honor and love one another.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate our humanity.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A chill morning.

-Ugh, I tackled our the Michigan Secretary of State. It is the worst. Where else can you go and it is perfectly acceptable to always have to wait 1.5-2 hours or more? It just doesn’t get better.

-Chinese take out for dinner.

-Finished a good book. It has been a long time since I read a Nora Roberts book. It was relaxing.

-Alex and James are back in the USA.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
