Empathy is the ability to experience the feelings of another person.
For your consideration…
For today’s message we must first understand empathy because our message is about survivors versus victims.
To be a survivor you must hold on to your power. Indeed your HOPE is in your power. Victims relinquish their power and their HOPE is based on what “others” can do for them.
Our message today is 2-fold. First, never give up your power. Even in tough times or situations, know that you have what it takes to survive them. You are a survivor. Second, never steal another’s power. Empathy is understanding and supporting not “taking over.”
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Survivors support survivors.
What made me smile yesterday…
-A good book.
-A good workout.
-Bruce did well in his PT today…although he might say differently.
-Mother nature is sure quirky.
