It’s a Small World

It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears
It’s a world of hopes and a world of fears
There’s so much that we share
That it’s time we’re aware
It’s a small world after all

[Chorus]
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small, small world

There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It’s a small world after all
[Chorus]

For your consideration…

I know, I know, once you get this song in your head it is hard to get out. My Mom gave our daughter, Alex, a Mickey Mouse song that played this song. My husband ended up hiding it. Having said that,  “You get what you get and don’t through a fit.” and this is how our message came in today.

Earth is but a small small part of the Universe. The more you travel, the more you begin to realize how small our world really is. More often than not, when you travel you will run into someone you know, someone who knows someone you know or is from your area etc. That is all geography.

But just as important, if no more so, is how alike we are to all people. As unique as we are on what makes us an individual, we all recognize the same feelings, HOPES, dreams, trials and tribulations, basic needs etc. It is the human condition and we recognize it in all people.

Today we are reminded of all that we share, all that we have in common. We are asked to focus on that and not what divides us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Look we common ground first.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A chill morning.

-Bruce’s first meeting at physical therapy. He was too funny.

-A quit trip with Bob to the Restaurant Depot. Wow, they were working hard to keep the stock up.

-Catching up with both my girls and Jackie.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
