For your consideration…

Ok, so let’s think about this. Think of a time or situation where you “fretted.” How did that work out for you? What changed?

I admit it. I tend to fret. I have to notice and make a conscious effort to stop fretting and let it be what it wants to be. Perhaps it is less than what I had in mind but most often it is more.

There is a difference between planning and anticipating what needs to be done, what could go wrong, how it can be made better and then fretting over those details. Noticing gives us an opportunity to prepare the best we can. But then taking it to the next level and fretting versus letting it go to be all it can be are totally different because they are totally different energies. Fretting is negative and pessimistic while letting go it positive and full of HOPE. HOPE is filled with excitement while fretting is filled with dread.

Reread Einstein’s quote. What energy do we want to put into and given situation? Fretting hinders everything. Envisioning HOPE empowers the energy. That is what we are asked to think about today.

We have the power and the choice in every moment to fret or let it be.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Quit fretting.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day….warm day and cool nights.

-Dinner at our club.

-A fun night with old classmates.

-Catching up with Alex, Jul and Jody.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
